Kranji MRT Station

Kranji MRT (NS7) is an above-ground North South Line station and a non-interchange stop in northern Singapore. It sits by the Rail Corridor’s northern gateway, with a public access point connected across the station area. The station is closely tied to the surrounding Kranji node rather than a dense town-centre setting.

Public-access infrastructure around Kranji emphasises easy movement on foot and inclusive access. LTA states that all public buses and trains are wheelchair accessible, with barrier-free routes at stations and bus interchanges. The station area also benefits from Rail Corridor works that improve entry into the green corridor network near the station.

Kranji is well positioned for commuters heading toward the Woodlands checkpoint side of Singapore, with station-area bus links shown on SMRT’s station information pages. Its role is practical rather than transfer-based, so journeys usually rely on the North South Line and connecting buses instead of an interchange change.
